Little Brither, chapters 9&10
The Xnet had been infultrated by the DHS. I think that this is a bad thing for Marcus and all of the Xnetters. That is because the Xnet has things that the DHS shouldn't be seeing, like blogs about jamming the checkpoints all over the city. Because the DHS infultrated the Xnet, Marcus and Jolu decided to have a "key signing party." I think that was a good idea. When the people used their crypto keys, then no one could read what one person sent to the other person. This is safer in the sense that when people were sending messages about jamming and whatnot, then the DHS wouldn't be able to figure out what they are saying to eachother. I suppose this is good, but also semi-bad because then the DHS would believe that they have something to hide and they would track that person more and be even more suspicious of them.
